Hey, y’all!

So, if you work in the education field, or any type of place that is in the public where you are exposed to an exorbitant amount of germs, you know how easy it is to catch ALL of the things - especially if you have an autoimmune condition like me. I would say in a typical school year, I get sick 2-3 times, which is not great when you have daily required meetings to attend and a family to manage. I had never really found anything that really kept me feeling good all year long and protected from all of the germs.

So, let’s backtrack to October. I was lucky enough to take a bucket-list trip to Scotland and at the end of the trip, we ALL got sick…and let me tell you, those Scotland germs don’t play. It lingered for a good 3 weeks after getting home. One day, I was scrolling through Instagram when I saw an influencer talking about this “secret weapon” and I immediately ordered it to see if it could help me kick my Scottish-sniffles…and y’all, IT WORKED.

What is it?

So, what is this magic elixir? Leefy Immunity. It’s a blend of powerful, all natural, organic, immune boosting super foods bottled into an easy to use tincture. The ingredients include yellow onions, ginger root, garlic bulbs, elderberry concentrate, and oregano oil - super foods that all work synergistically.

How does it work?

Let’s do a quick rundown on each ingredient benefits:

  1. Yellow Onions - Yellow onions are a staple ingredient in many cuisines worldwide. They are rich in antioxidants, such as quercetin, that help to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Yellow onions are also high in sulfur compounds, which have been found to help reduce inflammation in the body. In addition, research has suggested that consuming onions may lower the risk of developing certain types of cancer, such as stomach and colorectal cancer.

  2. Ginger Root - Ginger root is a popular spice that has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. It contains gingerols, which have anti-inflammatory properties and may help to reduce pain and stiffness in conditions such as osteoarthritis. Ginger root is also believed to aid digestion, reduce nausea and vomiting, and boost immunity.

  3. Garlic Bulb - Garlic is a member of the Allium family, which also includes onions and shallots. It contains a compound called allicin, which has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Garlic is also believed to have anti-inflammatory effects and may help to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

  4. Elderberry - Elderberry is a dark purple berry that is commonly used to make syrups, teas, and supplements. It is rich in antioxidants and contains flavonoids that may help to boost immunity and reduce inflammation. Elderberry is also believed to have antiviral properties and may help to reduce the duration and severity of cold and flu symptoms.

  5. Oregano Oil - Oregano Oil is derived from the leaves of the oregano plant and is believed to have antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties. It contains carvacrol and thymol, which are both powerful antioxidants that may help to reduce inflammation and boost immunity. Oil of oregano is also believed to have digestive benefits and may help to reduce the risk of infections.

So, basically, when you mix all of these together, you’re giving your body a power house of germ defense.

How Do You Use It?

The label says each serving is about 60 drops or 2mL. I typically use a whole droppers worth per night and double up if someone in the house is sick or when I feel a tickle in my throat. It’s super simple! Squeeze the dropper until it’s full, drop it under your tongue, hold for about 30 seconds, and swallow. Easy peasy!

Does it Work?

I’m sure the results vary from person to person, HOWEVER, let me drop some of my personal testimonials for you below:

  1. My son had the flu back in November. Anytime he is sick, he is attached to my hip and he even sleeps with me so I can monitor his fever and such. For those of you that aren’t parents, that means we are face to face, his dragon-germ breath covering me in a thick blanket as we sleep - not to mention all of the times when he accidentally coughed and sneezed right in my face. I was positive I was going to catch this - there is no way I wasn’t exposed - but nope. Not once did I get fever, feel achy, or come down with a cough. Score!

  2. Fast forward to February. My son woke up crying in the middle of the night - that’s never a good thing. He threw up in his bed and proceeded to throw up for the next 12 hours. Again, when he’s sick, I’m with him all night, basically being his body pillow, in order to make sure he is A-OK. Guess what? I didn’t catch the throw-ups either…and we all know those tummy bugs are super contagious.

  3. Next, let’s talk the week before Spring Break - the time when teachers and students alike JUST NEED A BREAK and can see the light nearing the end of the tunnel - yeah, that’s the week my son came down with strep. We share drinks, snacks, give kisses - all the things that would pass strep on over to me and guess what?! Yup. Didn’t catch that either.

Sooooooo, I’m confident to say, it has 100% worked for me. I use this daily, so I’m sure that is also a factor. I’m not saying that I will never get sick again, but I’m 100% confident this will help my body do it’s best to fight all of those microscopic intruders.

Where To Find It

I have totally thought about getting all of the ingredients to see if I could make my own elixir, but let’s be real - this is way easier and I’m sure probably tastes better than me throwing everything together. So, I just order straight from the Leefy website. They offer different packs where the more you order, the cheaper each bottle gets. One bottle is currently $33 for a one time purchase - I will say 1 bottle lasts me 1-2 months, depending on how many droppers worth I use each night. If you want to give this a try, I do have a referral link for you below. It gives you 15% off your first order, which is the best discount I’ve seen around. I can’t wait to hear how much you love it! :)
